Healthy Schools
Our school was awarded Healthy Schools status in June 2007 following a very successful visit from the assessor. The report praised the schools broad and varied healthy schools provision including our PSHE/SEAL curriculum, pastoral care, sports, resources and facilities, extra-curricular activities, our walking bus, healthy meal options, playground provision and the active and strong involvement of children, staff and parents in school life.

The school has a School Community Health Team which meets each half-term to discuss healthy schools developments and initiatives. This team have on-going action plans to ensure we continue to develop our work.
Recent work has included organising parent workshops with a dietician to consider healthy packed lunches whilst ensuring value for money.
