Parental feedback from Maths Presentation Evening
I just wanted to say that I really appreciated Mrs Greenwood taking the time to help explain how maths is now taught in primary school at last week's maths evening as it's opened up a whole new way of thinking for my husband, daughter and I, and we have enjoyed finding new ways to make maths fun already! So this email is just to say thanks for being so inclusive with the parents.
Here at Bovey Tracey Primary School we use the Letters and Sounds programme from the Department of Education for Phonics.
Materials that concentrate on activities to promote speaking and listening skills, phonological awareness and oral blending.
We also use a lot of resources/games from Phonics Play
A site packed with interactive phonics games, phonics planning, assessment ideas and many teaching ideas and resources to help children to learn to hear phonemes.
We also use Oxford Phonics Check Support
Our Phase 1 reading scheme is Oxford Reading Tree but Collins for non-fiction reading.
