Welcome to Kennick Class!
Parliament Week
This week marks Parliament Week across the country. In Kennick Class we linked this to our work on The Gunpowder Plot and discussed why we have a parliament in England now. We used our knowledge of capital cities to remember where the Houses of Parliament are in London and the other UK cities. We also explored the idea of debating and thought about the rules we have in our country and why they are important.
Willow Lantern Making
The children used willow, sticky tape and tissue paper to make lanterns in small groups. They worked together as a team to carefully make the square base shape, then add upright sticks. Finally adding tissue paper and lots of glue!!! It was a messy but fun time!
