Bovey Tracey Primary School

New Starters

We look forward to welcoming our new children to Bovey Tracey Primary over the summer term! Mrs Hamblin and Mrs Brown teach our Reception classes.

At Bovey Tracey Primary School we create a vocabulary rich and engaging learning environment where we can build strong relationships with each child, learn about them as individuals and find out about their needs and interests. We work collaboratively with parents and carers to encourage independent, enthusiastic learners who thrive and reach their full potential. We support all children regardless of their backgrounds, circumstances or needs by embedding a positive attitude to school and a love of learning. Every child has access to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum which provides opportunities and experiences they may not be given out of school. These experiences are planned based on the individual needs of the children and their interests.

We are kind and like to help each other.

We create our own imaginative games and enjoy sharing ideas. We use a rich range of vocabulary and enjoy learning new words each day.

At Bovey Tracey, we love to go on our weekly welly walk. We enjoy climbing trees, building dens, exercising and playing and exploring with our friends.

The children in Reception are provided with ample opportunities accessible in our indoor and outdoor provision. They engage in planned, focussed activities as well as self-initiated and free flow activities. The learning experiences within our Early Years are linked to the seven areas of learning and development within the EYFS. Our provision is every changing, depending on the needs and interest of the children. We assess the space and the quality of interactions in each space and change when it is necessary.
