World Book Day

World Book Day 7th March 2024

Indio and Brimley loved coming to school dressed up in character! They also enjoyed making little story characters and sharing their favourite books with their friends.  They talked about why they enjoy books and reading.

"Reading stories is relaxing". (George, Y1). "The voice in the story is interesting." (Charlotte, YR). "I love all the stories in the books." (Lilly, Y1) "You can learn things you didn't already know from books." (Otis, YR)

Pullabrook really enjoyed celebrating world book day! We listened to different stories throughout the day, and really enjoyed guessing who everyone was dressed up as. Our creativity shone in the toilet roll character making activity and we really enjoyed making them!

Hawkmoor have enjoyed celebrating world book day this year! We dressed up as our favourite characters and enjoyed creating our own character using the toilet roll inner as a base, and using different resources to make it come to life!

Yarner Class

Kennick Class

Yarner and Kennick loved dressing up as their favourite characters and decorating their doors. No Bot is a book we have been reading in class and learning about so it was well timed to use it for our door inspiration.
